Cry Fest 2007: Sarah and Mike

•September 1, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Okay, so, Sarah and Mike’s wedding may perhaps have been the biggest tear-jerker of the year. Everything from the decorations to the ceremony was so personalized and unique that it made it all seem so much more emotional!

This was Sarah’s attire as she walked in from getting her hair done:

The flower girl carried a gift from Sarah to Mike before the wedding

Mike was overjoyed at his awesome new watch,

So he retaliated by giving Sarah an awesome necklace

The flower girl was serious about her petals!

I love Kasey and Josh

I had the beeesssttt time last week running around and taking photos of Kasey and Josh… We all had a blast, acting like complete fools, with Kasey and myself trying to fight off a heatstroke while Josh laughed at us for being wusses (Yes, I am aware that wusses is not a word, but I don’t know another way to pluralize the word wuss…).

You can see how much fun we had, not to mention how much Josh loves Kasey, by looking at a few of their photos:

Why I love the Country, Starring De & Ben

•August 14, 2007 • Leave a Comment

I had the best time at De and Ben’s wedding this weekend. The four hour drive was nothing compared to the fun we had at their party, which was held at De’s parents’ house. Directions to the wedding included, “drive down past the middle of nowhere” and “when you see the horse, that’s the house”. SO…..

Top 3 reasons why I love the country:

1) Mason jars have many uses

2) Cities are appropriately named after the trees found everywhere
3) Good looking girls!
Meet De and Ben, the coolest couple ever, as you will soon see…

It started raining/lightning/thundering like crazy while they were dancing like fools outside, where there was no cover. The best part was that despite the thunder and lightning, not one person got off the dance floor. De and Ben were soaked to the bone, and the guests looked like they had jumped in a swimming pool. It was like something out of a movie!
Naturally, the party was relocated to the carport!

Lynn & Eric

This wedding was definitely a first for me!

The ceremony and reception were both held at Gin Creek in Hartsfield, Georgia- a beautiful, secluded location that accomodated many of the family members right at the property. Lynn got ready in a real log cabin, and the boys got ready in the lake house just across the way.

These are Lynn & Eric’s daughters… although they look more like little angels to me!

Check out the horse-drawn carriage waiting at the end of the aisle!
These guys are what you might call Harley enthusiasts… After the carriage took the couple away from the ceremony site, they got on the Harley for the ride down to the reception!
Who says you can’t ride in a gown?!?!

She is just too pretty!

Only If…

It’s a joke, however, this will only be funny to you if you:

A) Watch MTV’s Rob & Big
B) Are a big Tupac Shakur fan
C) Are familiar with the DeathRow Records label.

If none of the above apply to you, just skip over this one, you’re not going to get it!
If any of these apply to you, I know you are laughing right now, we’ll leave it at that.

Beautiful Kids!

Carla’s family was vacationing in Destin with her sisters and mother and ALL their kids, and wanted some photos of their family. Luckily for me, this was a great group of good-looking, fun kids that loved hamming it up for the camera!

Grandma wanted a ‘Stairstep’ photo:

Oh, yes, they actually made a symmetrical pyramid, AND no one got hurt!

Warm All Over: April & Co.

I got a call from my friend April a few weeks back about getting some photos of her family done for her father’s B-day. We met up in Destin and took some cool family pics, in addition to some of April and her husband Derrick that just melted my heart!!!

This photo makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! (Hence the title of this entry)

So behind, it is not even funny…

Good news: I have been taking photos like mad, so things are great!

Bad news: I have been neglecting the blog in order to take all these photos.

Solution: I am going to get this thing caught up if it kills me!!!

Katie & Chad

Our last wedding was Katie and Chad’s in Fort Walton Beach. The ceremony was held on the beach, followed by an indoors reception. There were some really great touches at the reception: the glasses were hand painted, the cake was very “beachy” and the best part: Katie’s mom runs a wine store, so there were plenty of bottles of wine around!

This picture makes me feel all romantic!

I loved these vases! I am totally going to copy this idea and make some for my house!

I am a little bit obsessed with calla lillies:
